I have managed to pick quite a few cukes from the garden but the tomatoes and peppers are being elusive and slow in growing so hope they will still produce a lot but has been a rough year for them and our grapes too! It's so sweet when pets hang out with you while you work. I've always had the rat cages in whatever my "main" workroom is--my old quilt room, or now, my office--and it's so comforting to look over and see that someone needs a scritch, or a treat, or just a few words. Of course, when Ira was more young and spry, I had to worry about him leaping out and stealing any snacks I was trying to eat. ;)
That's a lovely Wensleydale fleece! Supposedly the humidity is much better here than in, say, Arkansas, where my boyfriend is from. He was visiting last month and said it was really nice in Ohio compared to home. I told him I didn't wanna hear it, it was plenty hot and humid for me (especially the afternoon at the Zoo--ugh!).
