Better Late Than Never! Wool Fest,Spindies and more!

Well lets start with the fun time I had at Wool Fest with my friend and soon to be spinner extraordinaire  Lynne! I did take pics of the grounds but my camera has been going on the fritz but will post them to flickr anyway! The Wool Fest was at Lake Farmpark out in Kirtland OH a part of the metro parks! It was a wonderful place and the weather was simply perfect!! Lynne and I had a blast fondling all the beautiful fibers and of course I had to come home with some (sorry no pics but I will take some yet!!) They also had a great rug hooking group their and lots of fab pieces on display as well as classes (next year taking some of those!) the needle felting class was fab with lovely pieces being created! so was a perfect day and even perfect weather! Lots of beautiful knitted, woven, felted etc all on display! Beautiful work!

I have also updated my Spindies shop with some new fibers take a peek and check out all the shops there! There are some amazing shops with lots of fiber goodies to be had!! I am also adding new locks and batts to ETSY The locks today and the batts tomorrow! So stop and take a peek!! I diz'd a new roving off the drum carder today that is quite lovely! I plan to get the pics tomorrow and add that to my Etsy shop! really like doing them so more in the forecast!!

My garden is doing well except something keeps eating my cucumber plants leaves!!!??? so told hubby to be on the lookout for the little bugger!! not sure why the leaves and have been adding LOTS of Red pepper to the leaves but seems to not mind that much!! yikes! I will get pics I hope tomorrow it has been cloudy and quite dreary but still no rain!! we need it now because the gardens are dry!! maybe still tonite or tomorrow?? and so with that I think that is about all for now!!

Tomorrow is my dad's BD so will give him a holler and wish him a big happy day!! will also be washing and dyeing more wool as well tomorrow so watch for new goodies to show up!check out Flickr for lots of pics and here are a few of Lake Farmpark and fiber pics of course!! I also wanted to post a beautiful pic from one of my customers of a wonderful Tam she knitted! She spun one of my batts and then knitted the Tam! It's just wonderful! Thanks Ramifications!!

HAPPY SUMMER and Happy Father's Day Everyone!

Well we are finally out of the rain mode for now and the sun is out and it is cooler and less humid!! Hurray!! We had quite the rain but the garden is VERY happy because of it and think my cukes and tomatoes grew a foot or more!! so hope that means veggies SOON! I have also updated BOTH of my shops! Check out Spindies A Virtual Fiber Festival! Will find me under Altered Visions of course! and My ETSY shop! So had a fun day drum carding and weeding and playing with fiber!! More drum carding and spinning today so maybe another small update if I can get it all together! lots of pics on FLICKR garden and all just have to go back a bit!! I have some new fleeces on the way from my buddy Sandy at Homestead Wool & Gift Farm so will see some new goodies of course from there! I am hoping to pick up another local yarn shop (LYS) soon too! so lots of stuff going on and just not enough time! Luckily I am out of school so that is a big plus! I get to stay up late and work and watch the new Movie Channel we now have thanks to the digital TV set up!! Well I am off to drum card and spin so more updates soon! FUN Weekend! Lots done! Pics to Show Ya All!

Well I have had a lovely weekend, esp since it has been lovely weather! not too hot and no humidity! MY FAV!! I got my garden mostly all planted except still want some flowers for my pots and am hoping to get a few more herbs but otherwise tomatoes, peppers, cukes, lettuce and eggplant are all in!! Had a lot of lettuce self seed and made a huge bowl of salad with some last nite! yummy! also dill and cilantro are abundant!! plus we even had some tomatoes self seed as well so will see how they do! had heirloom varieties in that bed so will see what happens!!

I also did laundry and dyed up 4 pots of locks! yesterday I did Lincoln and today more BL/BFL locks also did up some batts. I listed a couple batts and bags of locks in the ETSY shop ! I was also happy to hear from Jamie at Urban Fauna Studio that my box of goodies arrived and she liked them! Now am hoping they will sell!! check out their shop in CA and also their online shop as well!! I'm pretty excited about this adventure!!

So I have garden pics to share, fiber of course and then am off to spin!! working on another new yarn!! check the ETSY shop for the new goodies!! LOOKIE IT REALLY IS ME!!

Sorry I have been missing! but I have been busy washing wool and dyeing it (washer is full now!!) and even gardening (FINALLY) plus yes the never ending laundry (it seems to multiply as it sits in the basement I swear as do the fleeces down there too!!! Think they are in cahoots together?? hehehe!) Anyway I have a new adventure with several other fiber artists and friends on Hyena Cart our shop is called Spindies and you can find my stuff there as well as on ETSY of course! I have also sent a huge shipment to Urban Fauna Studio in CA that I hope will arrive before winter sets in with the way mail is these days!! so I have lots of stuff going on so I am not just laying around eating bon bons!! I really have been working (or for me playing!!) I am excited about the new adventures and hope you will check out the new online shops and UF in CA when you are out there as well! School will be out the 10th of June so I am counting down the days and then will have LOTS more fiber time and spinning ,as well as dyeing etc!! So be on the lookout for new goodies to post a lot more often! Oh and of course garden pics to come, as well as time with the grand daughters too I hope!!

YES I REALLY AM STILL HERE!!

I know you think I have fallen off the face of the earth right!!?? Well no just crazy busy and have been really washing and dyeing new fibers and even posted some in my ETSY SHOP with more to come!! I am also going to a Fiber Fest here in Wooster OH this Sat so can't wait to see what I get then!! For sure picking up a huge Lincoln fleece that is always so soft and luscious and LONG locks to spin from and dye too of course! I have new mohair to wash and dye and some CVM/Romeldale fleece too as well as some Wensleydale and new BFL just dyed and BL locks too! I have posted some of the fun soft Romney/Shetland cross fleece I over dyed the gray fleece with fun colors of red, blue, green, purple and even orange!! so stop in and take a look as I get new stuff posted!! Now have also been doing some Birthday Partying with our oldest son's little one who turned 2 on the 2nd of May, hubby and I had our anniversary too, then our youngest son turned 30 today!!! EECCKK boy am I feeling a bit older today for some reason!! hehehe! do have pics of Lindey's party on Mother's Day so was fun to celebrate with them! Sorry, I like a dummy, forgot my camera so have some from my son to post but can't do all 120+ of them and can try to post them in flickr later if can get them off the disc!! so there it is in a nut shell what has been going on! Oh and yes work too! plus did do some gardening now to put in veggies this weekend I hope! we have still had frost esp last nite had to cover the cannas hubby planted!!(have pics of him digging too!! hehehe!!) so hope you are all well off to pack etsy orders

Late Update as Usual These Days!!

Well still working on some new stuff for a LYS nearly done and will ship out this week yet! have been busy with work and the usual laundry and wool washing and dyeing! did up some Coopworth yesterday hope to post pics and locks in the shop still this week!! That said has been slow going on Etsy so am thinking need a sale so will post that in the shop shortly! 15% off everything just post a note in the message to seller and I will send you a refund thru paypal excluding shipping!! need to move some of the old out and ready for the new!!
I have some pics of the garden starting up and still weeding and such but stuff is growing like mad now with the rains and a bit warmer weather!! still need to get the cold frames ready to plant my veggies! then get veggies and flowers (to fill in the bare spots in the garden) will do some annuals and perennials but have to finish LYS stuff 1st!!

I Really AM HERE!!

Well I am here and have been busy as a bee!! Yesterday was nice and warm and sunny, so hubby mowed up the yard so nice and then worked all day cleaning out our big main flower bed of all the cut down grasses we have and looks so much better but still need to get all the weeds out yet!! then still have the cold frames to clear out and get ready to plant in so a lot still to do but was a start esp since today we are back to a high of 51 and now rain the next few days in the forecast!! YUCK!
I on the other hand stayed inside washing and dyeing up 3 big huge canning pots of wool so slowly getting the fleeces downstairs washed up and ready to use! also carded up batts for my LYS that I am sending stuff to and then also am hoping to get yarns and batts made for Urban Fauna Studio in CA too and batts to my sisters shop sooooooooo now need a couple of extra hands and not to work a regular job right!! well luckily summer break is coming (well not soon enough for me!!) but then will be busy! I hope to also do some felting, beading and such too so will see! I did a small esty shop update and have a couple of more things to post tomorrow nite after work I hope!
I also got my Phatfiber box and will post pics of that tomorrow too have to upload the pics etc and too tired for that! I did go spin with my friends from my guild and had some fun there they are always a blast to hang out with! sorry no pics of that!! but that pretty well cut into my work time so more catch up tomorrow!! eecckk!

Well am going to have to get off here and actually get stuff ready for dinner at my sisters and some new wine tasting so yippee for that!! I did a small etsy shop update and will post more tomorrow since have one LAST day of spring break left!! WWWAAAAHHHHH! oh well all good things do come to an end I guess!! weather has been yucky to say the least! No garden work got done too windy and chilly but at least has been sunny for the past 2 days just not very warm! Tomorrow rain again soooooooo maybe will get the beds ready next weekend and get some lettuce planted etc!! will see!

GOOD GRIEF I'm Still HERE!!

Well decided to give the new Twitter a try so since I am such a computer dork if anyone knows how it really works I am there as primdollie!! Or under Linda Koch?? not sure which you search under yet?? sorry!!( but figure easiest for me to remember is primdollie!!) anyway hope someone will find me!!! hehehe!! and since I Have no idea how to add that to my blog either (yes I know computer dork!!) I hope I will get someone to take pity on me and tell me that too!!?????? HELP!

What and They Said It was SPRING BREAK!! yeah right this is OHIO!!

Well you would think that we could have a little nice weather for a change but oh no the little weather buggers heard the words spring break and sent us snow!!! It is cold and wet and nasty out!! POOH!! so what did I do?? I spent the day and I mean ALL day since 11AM on this $##%^&*(()&^%$@#!!^&*(   computer trying to get all my stuff in my etsy shop after taking over 100 pics mind you and so now here I am!!
We did have a fun weekend though and so was worth spending the day here trying to do it all at once!! Sat we went to Kris's house for Erica's BD party and had a great time was so nice to see them and have some fun and it was pleasant and sunny out and Kris grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and of course the Birthday girl got lots of goodies!! Posted all the pics of course in my flickr!! so go look they are now before all the fiber pics!!
Then yesterday spent the day cleaning cuz Jurgen called when we got home Sat and said "what are you doing tomorrow!!!???" we would love to come visit!!! well who was gonna say no to that! so got out the hoses and the shovels and started to clean the flippin house!! Now that was not the highlight of my day trust me!! those dust buffaloes were a bit rowdy now and chased them endlessly but in the end I did win so I am sure you heard them wherever you may be as they were a yellin up a storm!! we had a fun dinner of as Jurgen put it "kid friendly" food!!! I made homemade baked mac and cheese, broccoli (the girls fav!!), pea salad and hot dogs and sausage for the adults!! and then we dyed easter eggs!! Told Jurgen he was in charge because lordie has been MANY years since I did them with my mom!! hehehe!! so lots of pics to post on flickr next so stop and look!

OOOPS It's NOT Sunday!! It's Monday! So Here is The News!!

Well got tired of sitting here on this silly computer all day yesterday so never did get back here to show off my new batts and just as well because while visiting the gals from my spinning and weaving guild yesterday afternoon I started a new yarn that I finished last nite and just posted that too!!
The weather sure hasn't been the best!! Ohio seems to have those kinds of spring though! rain and sun and then snow again mixed in and cold too!! yucky yesterday and today a bit of sun peeking out now but cold and of course windy!!
I am looking forward to spring break next week and our granddaughter Erica has birthday this Sat so will have some fun getting to see her and take some pics of course!! she will be 6!! so with that will see what else I can get into while off for a whole week!! YIKES! I am planning on seeing my buddy Lou since haven't seen her in ages and then dye wool and spin and dye some more!! Oh yes wash it too!! so here are a couple of pics the rest of course are on flickr!! take a peek and in the shop 2 batts have already sold (yippee for me!) have some mohair on the way too so new dyed locks coming there as well!!ok more Sunday again!!

Guess What!!?? You Gueesed.... It's Sunday and an Update!!

Well washed and dyed a new fleece yesterday and sadly wasn't one of my better ones so will work better drum carded than just locks but some fun colors at least!!! so watch for new batts from that and other fleeces for next weekend!!
We had an ok day yesterday warmer but cloudy! Now today more sun and even nicer and a bit warmer too!! so happy for that!! I will try to wash up one more fleece and dye it and finish the laundry.... my fav thing in the world!!(Yeah I am being just a bit sarcastic aye!!!!)
oh but had a great time Fri nite when hubby,my sister and her hubby all went to a local Winery and had a blast!! super fun time with great food and wonderful wine!! we plan to go back this next month as well!! Maybe pics next time!! No we were NOT dancing on the tables!!!

Ok Finally New Shop Goodies Posted!! and lots of Dyeing going ON!!

Well did manage to update the ETSY shop and lots of pics on flickr so take a peek there as well!! Dyed up 1/2 a BL cross lambie fleece yesterday(it was a variegated fleece so some was white and some shades of grey!! fun to over dye that!! created some fun heather colors!!) so some of those goodies are in the shop and then today did 1/2 of another BL cross fleece too so more to come from that!! We had sunshine 2 days in a row and wasn't freezing so that was REALLY nice!!
well best get the last yarn washed and here are a few pics! also did a couple of special orders and those are ready too so happy weekend for me!!

Wow Hate The Rain and Daylight Savings!! Updated Etsy Shop!!

Well we have had non stop pouring down rain since 10PM last nite!!! we have a river out back and now a small lake on the south side of the house! and the driveway is under water as well!! and don't even ask how long the dog has been holding it now!! and I have been on this flippin computer fighting with ETSY and Flickr all day trying to get pics to upload and my shop updated and it's 5:30 and still not even showered!! YUCK!
I did get a part of a mohair fleece washed but that was it.... no dyeing I needed to do so hope to do that yet during the week if all goes well!! The mohair fleece is super soft but FULL of VM so hope to get some out so can use the pretty locks!!
anyway will post some pics of the yarn from this morning way more water now but to tired to bother with new pics!! can see all the batts and such on flickr won't even post any here tired of this computer right now!

Yes I Finally Have An Update and new Pics!!

Well I spent the day dyeing up several pounds of Teeswater and Wensleydale and have still 1/2 of each to wash and dye and also have 3 new BL cross fleeces to work on!! 2 are lambie fleeces!! I also got some super fun new fibers from my sweet buddy Sandy at The Homestead Wool and Gift Farm!! her fibers always make me smile and jump for joy! Each bag is so fun to fondle and play with!! so watch for new fun yarns soon with those too!! The BL cross fleeces are from Liz at Yorkshire Meadows and the Teeswater and Wensleydale from Kate at Lowder Colours Farms!!
I also managed to get pics of my samples to go to the PhatFiber Sampler Box soon. They aren't the best because they are still in the plastic bags because I was way too lazy to put them all back in there!! so check them out below and also I posted 2 new yarns, 3 mini batts and a fun bag of locks of the Teeswater!! super fun stuff!
