Look More Fun Art Stuff

No Not me you sillies!!! but from my dear friend and wonderful artist Angie she is so stinkin creative and has such wonderful talent and is a great mom too!!! how she finds time to do it all just always amazes me!! you rock girlfriend!!! and she used my yarn for these 2 pieces but she has the most wonderful art work and jewelry in her etsy shop you have to go see her creations!!! So here are a few pics of the garden and my lettuce I planted and my new big ole hooks my friend Ed put on my old Louet Flyer!! they are the best ever trick and work great but am spinning some fine Llama wool from Sandy's clouds and am spinning it a fairly thin (to me anyway) strand and even too!!! yikes!! will see if I ply it or not?? it's nice and soft!! anyway here are pics!! more on FLICKR of course!!!

Well had some camera issues and hubby had to get another card for the camera for some weird reason ours just up and died and stopped taking pics!!just kept showing an error??? anyway the ETSY shop is finally updated and now off to drum card some new batts and then will also get some pics of our super soggy yard and my lettuce which is a bit happier with the rain and bit cooler out too!! All pics can be found of course on my FLICKR so stop there too!!
Had fun too yesterday since today is our anniversary we went to dinner at a great German restaurant in Cleveland and even were joined by our oldest son and his GF so that was fun despite all the rain we had for 2 solid days!!

Update started More Still To Come!!!

Well despite all the craziness here and all and we did get our propane delivered and nicely showered and cooking again!! I have the skeins washed and drying and have started with a small update now and will post the rest likely by Wed as they are dry and have the pics then taken!! I am spinning with some friends tomorrow evening so will not be here but lots more pics on the way then!! here are some to give you an idea of what's coming!! and 2 already in the shop so head over to Etsy to see and also loaded all the pics on Flickr too!! this is just a taste will have 9 yarns total posted soon in the shop!! Crazy Weekend!!

Well has been a bit of a crazy weekend and have 9 yarns spun and ready but not washed because ............... we ran out of propane yesterday and so no hot water or showers or cooking etc!!! you get the idea I see!!! (I am so not into being Amish!! spit bathes in the sink and a bucket really not my idea of a fun time trust me!!) so then went to our oldest son's and his GF and had a fun time at the baby's BD party the big 1 year old!! she was so cute and what a good time!! we were lucky to have a nice day for it and no rain etc and got to barbecue and all!! lots of fun and we did get to take a shower 1st at my sister's soooooooo that helped alot!! they should be here tomorrow and so update then hopefully in the next day or so so stop back fun yarns and maybe even a batt or 2 since I sold out!! (Yippee!!) Hope the weather holds up and no snow planted lettuce and we actually did see some of the seed I planted popping up too soooooooooooo this may be my 1st year ever to have a nice crop of lettuce!! (well tried it one year and spinach too but did it too late in the spring/early summer and all went to seed to early!! ) so pics of that to come too!! so no pics so sorry but check here tomorrow and see what I can do!!!! in the mean time off to spin more so maybe will have 10 yarns!!! stay tuned for that!
Oh and my youngest nephew just got into an accident (not a car just not sure what though for sure yet!!)and blew out his knee and the paramedics called my poor sister to tell her they were transporting him to the nearest hospital and needed an order for pain meds so say a prayer all goes well and may have to have surgery too will see what happens!! a good thing he wants to be a vet and not a football star!!! will keep you posted and hoping for good news!! prayers are much appreciated!!! thanks!

UPDATE on De Nephew!!

He is ok ...no fractures! yippee!! he dislocated it though and had it reset and in an immobilizer till he gets to have it rechecked!! so thanks all!! my dear sister is relieved of course and so now to have him make it thru classes another week and then should be home to have it checked!! thanks for the good thoughts and prayers!! they worked!!

Lazy Sunday after Crazy Saturday!!!!

Well since my wheel was in the "repair shop" with a friend of mine in our guild I didn't get to play on the Louet and spin up a bunch of new yarns!! and the electric Babe is over in his shop too cuz couldn't get that little stinker to like me very much!! Sandy had it trained well but just didn't like me so Ed will figure out how to get her to spin this week and then all the babies will be in tip top shape!!! NOW I did manage to spin up a fun skein of Teeswater locks on the Pirtle which I may still dye and then keep for me!!! It turned out so nice i am quite pleased with my little self!! not over spun or anything!! so will post pics of that and also have 3 skeins that will go in the shop next week with hopefully a slew of others now that the Louet is equipped with HUGE hooks courtesy of my friend Ed!! so as he said I am now the "big" Hooker!!! hehehe!! will post pics of that soon have to charge the camera 1st!! but here are pics of the skein from the Pirtle and also new ones to come in the shop next weekend!!
So in the mean time the SALE is still on in the shop but have added 20% off all yarns!!!! and still 15% off the batts and the jewelry!! so head over to my etsy what doesn't sell comes out !! batts to spin and the yarn to knit and felt??? will see!! never know!!
OH and also did a little dye day with some of the gals in my guild and so will post the 2 skeins of sock yarn as soon as they are done!! had a fun afternoon there!!

sorry these a bit dark we have a bit of a cloudy day so this is as good as it gets!! Oh and yes girls the Crazy Saturday was spent weeding and getting my gardens ready and seeded some lettuce!!! and still have half of the big perennial bed to weed but may have to have hubby do that!! pics soon!!

I also had the great fun and pleasure of finally meeting an online friend from MI, Joanne!! Hi Dear!! (thanks for the hint on the photos hope you can see them now!!!) so sorry didn't remember to bring the camera but we had a nice time visiting over lunch with a bunch of my other friends Lou , Darlene, Sue,  Jean and Jean's daughter and friend too!! such fun to get to meet an online friend in person and chat and swap stories and such!! hope to see Joanne again and glad I have my dear friend Lou close by and Jean and Darlene and Sue as well! great fun day despite the crappy weather!!

Now to figure her out and get her to spin well!! need to tweak her and needs one more coat of oil!! (Hubby oiled her twice for me already but still a few dry spots!! then to get her tensioned right and all!! here is one pic of her not the best but can see her well!! bobbin is to the right on the floor she was just oiled here! also trying a new way to upload pics so don't have "weenie" pics anymore!! Thanks to my buddy Joanne!! but that will be in Next post because will tell you all about my day yesterday and also sale in my etsy shop before I add new yarns that are up and coming!! spring is here (well sort of!!!... still upper 30's here and rainy!!) so stop back and ignore the dust bunnies and the not so pretty newspaper!! hehehe!! Hurrah for The Yarn Museum

Well I am once again in one of the "Shows" at the Yarn Museum Titled "Singles" Thanks so much Linda and any of my friend spinners should submit their yarns as well!! I love that my yarns are featured there what an honor!! this is the one I submitted.... one of my recent ones that just sold!! and I love the colors my favs of course!! go check out all the other galleries they are so wonderful! go to Yarn Museum!!

LONG Week but do Have a couple for UPDATE on ETSY

Oh and the sun is shining and I have the windows open YIPPEE!!!!! HURRAY!!!! it is finally nice still VERY soggy out there but drying up slowly and hope no rain for a bit!!! am sick of that!! Also big news am getting a new wheel (well NEW to me!!) a Pirtle she was shipped Fri so as soon as she gets here and have her put together will post some pics of course!!! so watch out hope to really get to do some bulky yarns now!!

It's Sunday and Etsy Update and "baby" pics!!

Well had nice sunshine yesterday but still cold and now windy and cloudy with surprise rain on the way!!! stupid weather!!!!!
Well had my local Art Gang monthly get together  yesterday so brought the yarn instead of art to play with and did a fun yarn while there and another yesterday afternoon so have posted 5 new ones to etsy today!! so will post some pics here and of course they are ALL on flickr too!!! so stop there and check them all out so can see all the fun views and colors!!
I came home yesterday after our meeting and found that my little wiener dog has found a new spot to hang out in when there is sun shine!!! (no looking at the dust bunnies though guys!! oh and wool fuzzies too!!!!) she was quite proud of herself and her "I will get what I want attitude!!" so here she is!!! couldn't yell at her but told hubby will have to make sure next time nothing up there she can slip on!! silly butt!!
she is perched on the table in the living room under the south window which has a glass top and of course hubby left the newspaper there he was reading!! she thought it grand as you can see from that "wow isn't this great fun mommy" look on her face!!! gotta love her she is a sweetie!!!

Lots Of FUN had in Detroit!!!!!

Well had a blast in Detroit with my dear buddy Valerie!!! I had no idea there could be so many thrift stores and fab restaurants and oh my bakeries too!!! She is a dear and took me all over and we just had a blast spending $$ as we went but got fun bargains and got some much needed spinning lessons in and I got to play on her wheels The Indian Valley Spinner and her Norman Hall!! she lives right down town so took some pics and got to go on the People Mover and took a few there too!! went to Mexican Town and had YUMMY food there and also to Greek Town and a fab Thai restaurant before I left too!! thanks dear I sure had a blast!!! and a big thganks too to her sweet hubby who put up with our ramblings that went on and on I am sure he thought!! hehehe!!

fab yarn shop and wonderful Mary Beth (thanks dear!!) who was sweet and modeled this fab shawl/scarf I loved and was very helpful!! the shop is a definite one to see when in Detroit it's City Knits in the Fisher Building!! will go back when go up again!!

look fab fiber fun toys and goodies and that's only a tiny bit of her stash!! definite fiber heaven!!! was a great time hope to go back again and maybe drive so can bring more stuff home!! have a giant box that dear Val has to ship with more fun thrift store finds and a huge bag of Coopworth locks (6 pounds yippee!!) so now off to spin and play more LOTS of pics on flickr go there to see them all!!

Itty Bitty Etsy update!! Oh and cleaned up MY stash!!

Well had some family/friend stuff to take care of today so didn't get the update up and all right away and then did some shopping afterwards so could get my stash a LITTLE bit more organized and does look a LITTLE better but will need at least 2 more of those gigundum storage boxes to pack all the wool up and away!! so more next paycheck!! going to spend some time with my buddy in Detroit so no update this coming weekend and will of course post pics of stuff and all when I get back!! She's my old time art and spinning pal I have known for many years now and am thrilled to get to go visit and also hope to actually see what  REAL spinning is like!!!! hehehe!! here's her Blog!! see you soon dear!! Etsy Update and slowly Digging Out of the Snow!!

Well finally stopped snowing late last nite and wind has died down finally and sun is out so hubby out shoveling the truck out and feeding the FAT birds!!! I have 5 new skeins to post on ETSY today and 2 batts that I will list together! Loads of pics on Flickr so can head there to see them all and here is a taste!! Hope you are all warm and sunny too today and hope this week a bit better than this last week!! Good grief they say it IS spring now to figure out where that is!!!! Also want to post here the great shops I have gotten the fibers from for this batch of goodies!!! My 2 favs of course and regulars I love and are my spinning mentors!!! Sandy from Homestead Wool and Gift Farm and Holly from HollyEQQ fame!!! I also have a new fun yarn spun from some wonderful batts from a fellow esty shop owner and her batts are wonderful so if in need go check out her shop Hobbledehoy thanks Liz wonderful soft Merino batts used for this yarn!! great colors and have another set will spin soon so watch for that!! thanks girls couldn't have all this fiber fun without you all!!
